What is solid glue?

Solid glue is an environmentally friendly adhesive made primarily from polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), supplemented with rosin, tackifying resins, fillers adn preservatives. It is dissolved by heating, mixed, and then cooled to form. It typically comes in the form of glue sticks and appears as a translucent or white solid.

Main Functions of Reactor for Producing Solid Glue Stick

Reactor is used to heat, dissolve, react and mix the raw materials for solid glue (such as PVA, rosin, tackifying resin, fillers, additives, etc.) under specific temperature and stirring conditions, ultimately producing a uniform glue solution. This solution is then cooled and formed into solid glue sticks.

• Material: Mostly SS304/316 for corrosion resistance and cleanliness.
• Heating method: Electric, steam or thermal oil heating to ensure complete dissolution of materials such as PVA.
• Agitator: Anchor or frame agitator with scraper to prevent material sticking to the wall and localized overheating.
• Temperature control system: Equipped with a temperature sensor and automatic temperature control to ensure stable reaction temperature.
• Cooling system: After the reaction is complete, the material can be rapidly cooled via a jacket or coil to prepare for curing and molding.
• Discharge method: Bottom valve discharge or pump discharge for convenient entry into molding equipment (such as molds or extruders).
